I would like to thank Dr Rami Haddad for orchestrating a very successful meet and greet with me and his colleagues of Georgia Southern College of Engineering & Computing on 25th March 2025.

Rami organised meetings with Dr Lewis Stetson Rowles, Dr David C. Weindorf, Dr Lei Chen, Dr Hossein Taheri, Mr Jack Mei, Dr Vladimir Gurau, Dr Masoud Davari.

The meetings have generated a load of ideas and avenues of research where SETU Electronics Carlow, SETU Research, Innovation and Impact, and South East Technological University could collaborate.

Jack Mei (Rami’s research student) is to present research at IEEE #IEEESoutheastcon 2025 on which I have collaborated with Jack and Rami.

Rami, along with other colleagues, brought me on several tours of their lab facilities, where I met a number of students and staff. Dr Masoud Davari showed me his power and robotics labs. Dr Valentin Soloiu showed me a number of machine learning related projects that he and his students are working on, along with various aerospace fuel related projects. Dr Gustavo Maldonado gave us a look at some drone and lidar related research he and his students are investigating.
